We've entered the amateur contest of SONY with my daughter Sophie. Contribution is free, there is no due for paying an entrance fee. There are ten categories available for the competitors, the judges come from the SONY Academy. Number of competitors exceeds more thousands already at this stage. Number of pictures submitted at the time of this logging is about 200 hundred, and increases hours by hours. This is the third edition of this world-wide competition ...

Deadline for the upload is the midnight of January 4, 2010. The awarding process steps ahead in February (candidates chosen within categories), and culminates in the announcement of the winners on the 15th of April. This event can be drawn to everybodies' attention, should they be either photographers or spectators.

Imagine, Félix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy came to our World just two hundred years ago!

On the anniversary of his birth we've composed a little serenade, binding a bouquet of his songs and chamber works rarely played in Hungary. Dedicated to the pucker old gentleman, we perform the notorious ‘Witch's Song,’ the effusive ‘Song of a Wayfarer,’ and thirteen more songs. You will listen to his flute-piano sonata and also perhaps the widely known work, `Rondo Capriccioso’.

The better I know Mendelssohn, the more I like him. I admire his musics stretching the traditional harmonies of classic era, but getting the bloodred storms of romantics yet in shy. It is an outstanding experience to bring on air this sensible-tender, gentle grub-silk-like music.

Nóri with her mumOn the eve of September 2 our daughter Nóra performs with her musician partners at the Jewish Summer Fest. Their ensemble with Noémi Győri and Ágnes Kovács devote an evening for "Hommage á Mendelssohn". The place is the synagogue at Rumbach Sebestyén street, Budapest VI.

Along the extension of the media offering at our website, we invite the visitor for listening to the diploma concert of our daughter. The concert was held in 2008. Digitalized version of the concert is brand new now. We offer the performance in your kind attention.

Springtime Nóra -along her Hanns Eisler studies- applied for a scolarship at the Heinrich Böll Stiftung. The interviews of the application process took place at the front of this month.

Yesterday a confirmation arrived: she was awarded with the scolarship.

Nóra can enjoy the Böll scolarship support till the end of her studies.
We are glad of the news, Nóri, congratulations!

Kati found this book by Böll in our library. We have just heard about Heinrich Böll so farl. Now we can have motivation to read the book and get more knowledge about him.
